On relationships break ups and FB
Relationships are overrated and well break ups.. its a confusing concept.... especially in today's era of PD-E (public display of emotions), which can be read as facebook, it's even more complicated.
you get together, you giggle and laugh and everything is rosy and beautiful and so is your wall with love songs and lovey dovey quotes. Then whoosh all of a sudden its all a BIG MISTAKE! Then begins the phase of all sorts of hatred filled updates.
Why does it have to be branded as a MISTAKE! and why the sudden transformation of love to pure hatred?? Respect the bond you shared, respect the times that made you genuinely happy. Remember that you got into it because back then it made you happy, back then it did mean something to you!
You should be glad that it happened, that at least you spent some time that made you smile your best smile and moments that swept you off your feet.
Big deal it didn't work! you were two people who wanted different things from life and looked at things differently,so you broke up. You should be glad, for now you know what you really are looking for! Its not the end of the world and if it seems like it because you had planned your entire future together then trust me THAT was a mistake!
Hence i say relationships are overrated ..... Keep it real! yes, it is a magical feeling and it is tough to be practical, one should not even be so practical in such things so go ahead think about the future, and think some more but never believe!
Relationships are friendships at a higher level .... celebrate it! celebrate the time spent in each others company! If it works then there is nothing more you could ask for but if it doesn't then be glad that it happened and always remember that it is never a MISTAKE!

True. I fail to understand why the sudden transition from 'all lovey-dovey' to sheer hatred. Why can't people just live the moment instead of wasting that time planning a 'future' which might just not come along that way.
ReplyDeleteAnd just why part ways on a rude note if you couldn't hold the 'relationship'. Why forget even the friendship. Why does it have to be a 'mistake' as you very rightly wrote.
Avoid the typos :)
ReplyDeleteThe worse is when young jilted lovers wallow in self pity. They're so hard to deal with.
ReplyDeleteit's funny how almost everybody I know either wants to be in one or wants to get out of one.
Nice post!
