The Dying Conscience

It is amazing how the humanity in us is subliming. It is amazing how SO many lives are lost every day, every hour only because out of the the hundred passers by not even one person was human enough to get medical aid or even simply make a call! Majority of lives lost, in accidents, are due to excessive blood loss and delayed evacuation. So next time you utter, "It's the system which is responsible!" Give it a second thought.

No identity, no face

yet a strongly felt existence;

comfort overshadows me,
realized only when the air is tensed;

call me humanity, conscience or the good,

my bearer would suppress me;
but absence in others!
certainly criticizes he.

Your selfishness appalls me!

Your nonchalance outrages me!
I die a little every time,
your purpose you defy.

The crying and the wailing you ignored,

the helpless desperation you could oversee;
A LIFE you left to bleed and end!
because there's some other place you'd rather be.

What right do you have then,

to sit with friends and click your tongue?
It was a slipping life you could pull back
a strong 'n' brave one that hung.

Whence now you decide to turn your head,

pause a while and think.
Does it matter that you became a passive murderer?!
Or in this hypocritical life, it's YOU who's long been dead.
