On relationships break ups and FB

Image
Relationships are overrated and well break ups.. its a confusing concept.... especially in today's era of PD-E (public display of emotions), which can be read as facebook, it's even more complicated. you get together, you giggle and laugh and everything is rosy and beautiful and so is your wall with love songs and lovey dovey quotes. Then whoosh all of a sudden its all a BIG MISTAKE! Then begins the phase of all sorts of hatred filled updates. Why does it have to be branded as a MISTAKE! and why the sudden transformation of love to pure hatred?? Respect the bond you shared, respect the times that made you genuinely happy. Remember that you got into it because back then it made you happy, back then it did mean something to you!  You should be glad that it happened, that at least you spent some time that made you smile your best smile and moments that swept you off your feet.  Big deal it didn't work! you were two people who wanted different things from life and...

The sun is about to meet the horizon the sky is like a canvass with the most beautiful shades of orange and purple spread across the frame.... I am walking on the sidewalk grumbling about the cancelled moot trial.... and something caught my eye.... an old lady draped in a worn out saree with her hair all gray.. she comes out of her house a poorly constructed one wit the white wash half washed away due to these rains uurrrrggghhh.... Delhi roads and rains so don't go well together well anyway..... i see the old lady come out and she stands in front of the few dirty pots and lights a match sticka sudden thought strikes me that probably i complain and whine too much.. look at this lady even though she is bereft of all the materialistic pleasures still she would light a 'diya' in front of the 'tulsi' and offer her evening prayers and probably thank the supernatural for what ever she has! for the rickety scooter that is parked for at least it moves... and the falling ro...

BORN TO AN OLIVE GREEN

Image
The end of winters was nearing and a few tiny little buds had statrted to yawn. In that magnificent stone bungalow of the National Defense Academy a little baby girl was born to the most beautiful couple!! Probably that's where my fascination with the Army can be traced back to. For back then all i must have heard and watched must have been the drill commands  and cadets with weird hair cuts running with their bicycle on their shoulders! That is when it all began tat is wen this beautiful journey began!   As soon as i learnt to walk and started to grasp things, i was instructed to behave and sit quietly in the Mess. Mumma's "DON'T TOUCH" glare wen we got anywhere near the Mess trophy lol I still remember that! Those dining in and out speeches during which all the Unit kids used to be locked in the T.V Room and good lord! all the kids going wild inside specially the neverending fight of who will have the remote :D Finally when we used to be let loose we...

INDIA UNITED

The revolution, the wild frenzy that has engulfed the nation today is the closest i could get to experiencing the feel of the freedom struggle.....The air of the mass movement is different. I was forcibly dragged out of college and taken to the tihar jail protest as i have never been fascinated by overcrowded places. The roads had been closed so we had to walk all the way. There was this group of people walking towards Tihar with loud speakers and drum so we joined them and after that it was a different place... an experience of its own! There were people around with whom you would normally not wanna be with but there nothing else mattered apart from the slogans of "Vande Mataram' and 'Anna tum sangharsh karo hum tumhare saath hai'. The inhibitions vapourised in the heat and there i was shouting and screaming some brainless and some controversial slogans too! Banging those drums and sweating like crazy everybody would shout in one go 'INQUILAB ZINDABAD...
